I had an interview for the Senior DevOps Engineer role at Biofourmis on July 31st. It seemed to go really well, and I was expecting some kind of update from HR or the hiring team. But they never got back to me. Even after I followed up, there was just silence. This really shows a lack of professionalism and respect for candidates' time. If a company can't even give basic feedback after interviews, it says a lot about their culture and how they hire. Candidates put in their time and effort, and just being ignored completely is not okay. My advice to management: please show some respect for candidates' time and effort. Even a quick email update or some feedback is way better than leaving people hanging.

Applied on CutShort, and within a day, I got a test link from Hackerearth. After about a week, I received a call to schedule the technical interview. The whole interview process took about 1.5 hours. I faced a mix of questions: mainly covering Node.js, SQL database design and queries, one problem-solving question, and others related to Web Development such as Authentication, APIs, Security Threats, AWS, and Nginx. They mentioned questions could be from any area in my domain. A week later, the VP contacted me for a casual chat about my work preferences, which thankfully aligned. The very next day, HR reached out. They didn't haggle much and offered me the salary I expected. I received the offer letter the following Monday.

I applied on the Cutshort portal and heard back from HR to take an online coding test, needing at least 70% to pass. I scored 95% and moved on. The next round was supposed to be an hour to assess my technical ability and leadership, but it went over two hours with two interviewers, and they didn't check if I was available. I passed this round with great feedback. After that, I had a less than 30-minute interview with the engineering head, focusing on my career goals and past projects, and again received excellent feedback. The final round was with HR for cultural fit and behavioral questions. At the end, they asked about my current and expected salary, and I asked for a 25% raise. HR said it was too much and they'd discuss it. I didn't hear back for 5 days, so I called, and HR said they were making an offer and would call back soon. It's been 3 months, and I haven't heard anything, nor received a rejection, which is very unprofessional HR conduct.

The recruiter was pretty pushy, asking a lot of questions and really drilling down into my role, duties, and especially my current salary. They wouldn't proceed without that info. Then there was a take-home assignment. They sent over some pretty large, unlabelled imaging data and the task was to build a model to predict something from these pictures. No other help was given, I had to use my own computer. It took me a whole day to train my ML model on the images, and then the whole weekend to finish the project. After I sent it back, they totally ghosted me – no replies to emails or calls, no feedback at all. It felt super shady, almost like they were trying to get free work out of applicants.
