Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Binance.
Senior Recruiter
The interview process was quite long, involving four video interviews. There were significant delays between interviews, and one was even cancelled. I didn't get much feedback. The questions were pretty direct, but because different people were involved, I was asked the same things over and over. I ended up losing interest because the waiting times were so long.
- Can you tell me about a time you had to influence someone important?
Recruiter
The interview process had 4 stages. First, a peer interview. Second, a manager interview. Third, a second manager interview (a different manager). Fourth, an interview with HR and a Senior Software Engineer. I had a good experience with most people, they were polite and quick to respond, especially the recruiter who first contacted me. However, one manager made the interview feel adversarial and seemed unprepared. It was also concerning that many interviewers kept their cameras off. The total call time was 2 hours. The overall vibe of the company is 'Sketchy AF', as others have noted, but you have to experience it to believe it.
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
- Would you describe [language] as a language or a framework?
- Do you have any interest in cryptocurrency?
Talent Acquisition Specialist
The interview process involved rounds with the hiring manager and a team lead. Everything was set up super fast, which I really appreciated because I needed to get moving quickly. The interviewers made me feel really comfortable, and they gave me all the info I needed about the job and the company culture.
- What are your thoughts on our company?
- Can you describe your technical expertise?
