Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bill's Restaurants.
Waitress
It was pretty straightforward, the manager was nice and approachable. Not challenging at all. They asked standard questions about my previous work history and how my friends would characterize me. The whole process was just one interview and I heard back within a week.
- What are your friends' descriptions of you?
Waitress
it was very relaxed and easy and probably not a proper interview to be honest but it was received well because i got asked for a trial shift but then i didn’t need the job any more so i don’t know if i would have been successful but it was a nice interview where it was informal and i could be myself
- Regarding your experience, do you have any?
Waitress
The interview process was straightforward. I submitted my CV to the manager on duty on a Friday. By Monday, I received a call to attend an interview with the General Manager the following day. Despite being only 16 at the time and feeling nervous, my worries were unfounded. The GM offered me a drink and patiently answered all my questions. Recognizing my nervousness, she created a more relaxed atmosphere. I immediately sensed it was a positive workplace where management appeared genuinely invested in their staff. Following this, I completed a 3-hour trial shift, after which I was extended a job offer.
- If you were an animal, which one would you be and why?
