First there was a quick initial phone screening, I didn't even turn on the video. Then came a 3-day take-home assignment followed by a presentation. The final round involved a product sense question which was okay, but ultimately not enough to seal the deal.

Just a heads up on the effort involved. I went through the whole process, including a take-home assignment and an in-office presentation. On the final step, I was informed they had chosen someone else. I get that companies want to pick the best, but this took over a month in total, and it felt like they didn't really value the candidates' time and effort. If I wasn't a good fit, that's fine, but you probably could have figured that out before the last stage. So, candidates, be aware of this. To BigID HR, I think this whole thing could have been handled in a way that better respects people's time and effort.

I went through 8 steps plus a home task. They didn't call and I had to ask a few times what's going on. Then, I got rejected, with no feedback, only with an explanation that they decided to change the role expectations. I insisted on feedback after such a big investment and still all they said is that I was ok. After a few weeks I noticed that the position had changed location to Portugal. Wow.
