First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BigHat Biosciences.
Research Associate
I was referred to BigHat and Danielle reached out soon after to set up an initial screening call. After that, I spoke with the hiring manager the same week, and then had a technical screen with someone on the team the following week. The next step was an on-site panel interview, which lasted from about 9am to 3pm. I spoke individually with 7-8 people and also had lunch with the interview panel. The whole process was pretty quick, under 3 weeks from application to offer, and I got a verbal offer about a month after applying. I really appreciated how communicative and transparent the recruiting team was. It was a really efficient and fast process overall, and took about 7 weeks from when I applied until I started!
- Can you describe your experience that's relevant to this role?
- How do you think you would fit in with our company culture?
Research Associate
The whole thing was super smooth, with the head of talent really hands-on. They were super organized and kept me in the loop, which I totally appreciated. It all happened fast, like 2 weeks, and involved both Zoom and in-person meetings.
- Can you describe an assay you improved in a past role and explain your troubleshooting process?
Research Associate
The interview process was really smooth and straightforward. For my role, there were 4 interviews in total: an HR call, a meeting with the Hiring Manager, a Technical interview with the Director of the team, and an Onsite Panel. I really appreciated Danielle's help because she truly cared about the interviewee and was super available for communication! I'm rating the interview level as difficult because I'd never done technical presentations before for any other roles, but it was a good challenge to have!
- Were there a reasonable amount of technical questions for the specific role?
- Were there many scenario based questions?
