Technical Support
The hiring process has two interviews. First, you'll chat with a recruiter from BigCommerce to see if you're a good fit. Then, you'll have a final interview with a tech manager or lead who will discuss your background and what you can bring to the company, and vice versa. They were professional and prompt with communication.
- Could you explain your understanding of DNS?
Technical Support
Best interview exp ever. 1. HR phone screen, personality check, and some tech questions like: familiar with HTML, CSS, DNS. 2. Build a web store task. More time is better, but don't overdo it. I spent a few evenings, seemed to go well. Double check requirements before submitting. 3. On-site, got to know you type questions then technical ones.
- What is DNS?
- Could you explain HTML and CSS to a non-technical person?
- Tell me about a time you dealt with an angry customer.
Technical Support
First, I had a phone interview. Then, they gave me a prescreening task where I had to build a website using BigCommerce. It took up most of my weekend to get it done right. After I sent it in, I didn't hear anything back. I had to call them to find out I didn't pass, which was a huge waste of my time.
- Build a website according to the provided prescreening instructions.
