Technical Support Engineer
Super happy with how the interview process went. There were no tricky questions, no puzzles, and no hidden motives. They told me about the pay and benefits right away. The interviews with the managers were tough, but it was still the best interview I've ever done. It was a bit different too: all four managers had to agree to hire me. If even one said no, I wouldn't have gotten the offer. During the in-person interview, I could tell that while other companies talk about putting clients first and caring about work-life balance, Bigcommerce really does it.

Technical Support Engineer
The interview process kicked off with a 40-minute intelligence/personality test. After that, I had a 15-minute chat with a manager. Then, I got a link to a 10-minute technical test. The next step was building a test store with custom Java, CSS, and images, which took me about 16 hours. After that, I had an hour-long interview with four managers. A few hours later, I got an email saying I'd made it to the final interview with a founder. However, this was canceled last minute and we were supposed to reschedule. Months later, I got an email saying there would be no final interview and they'd gone with another candidate.
- What was the hardest part of the interview process, considering the demo store takes many hours?
Technical Support Representative
So first I had a phone screen with a recruiter. After that, they sent me a quiz to test my knowledge on websites, security, and basic HTML. Some questions were easy, but a couple required a bit of searching online (which was allowed). Then, I went in for an onsite interview and spoke with two people from the team. They were really nice and helpful, and I actually liked talking with them. A few days later, I got an offer, which was awesome because BigCommerce has great perks, but I ended up accepting another offer I had.
- Can you explain what DNS is?
