Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Big Lots.
Stocker
The interview was quick and painless, with very basic questions. They asked directly about my past experience and the skills I possessed for the job. The job itself seemed straightforward, although the pay was only $13/hr for part-time hours (15-20 per week).
- Can you tell me about your skills?
Overnight Stocker
It was quick, I applied on Monday and got a response via email on Tuesday to schedule an interview. I would recommend anyone looking for a second look job to apply.
- Why do you want to work for Big Lots?
Stocker
I applied online and then the manager called me a few days later. We scheduled an in-person interview at the store for the next day. The interview was supposed to start at a certain time, but it didn't begin for almost an hour, so I just waited and walked around the store. The actual interview took about 15-20 minutes and had very basic questions. I was offered the job right after.
