Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
Program Specialist

- What makes you want to join this company?
Specialist
They were really eager to fill the role fast, reaching out the day after I applied and extending an offer right after the interview. I spoke with a few managers, but honestly, they weren't totally upfront about what the job actually entails. There's a ton more paperwork and admin than they let on, and the pay is really bad.
- Were most of the questions standard?
- The interview was about an hour and a half, mostly because it was a panel interview, how do you feel about that length?
Program Specialist
So the interview process kicked off with a phone interview, super quick, asking just some basic stuff like what I knew about the company and why I was interested in the role. After that, they invited me for an in-person interview with two directors or managers. They were pretty cool and asked standard interview questions, plus some hypothetical situations to see how I'd tackle problems.
- What do you understand about Big Brothers Big Sisters' mission?
- Can you describe your understanding of what Big Brothers Big Sisters does?
