Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at biBerk Insurance Services.
Software Engineer
Super structured process with a bunch of interviews to get in. First one was to give you the lowdown on the job and the team. They wanted to see if you'd be a good fit. Second interview was a technical one with the manager and a senior dev, just asking standard questions to check your tech skills for the role.
- What was your salary range.
Senior Software Engineer
Had a soft skills interview over the phone, then a Teams interview with two people on the panel. One of them was super nice, but the other, Alex Gitelson, was incredibly rude. He was really condescending and sarcastic the whole time. I wouldn't have taken the job even if they offered it because working with him would be awful.
- Can you explain what an index is?
- Describe how to find and remove duplicate entries in SQL.
- What are the different kinds of classes available in the .NET framework?
Software Developer
There were 3 rounds total. It started with a phone screen, then a basic/personality interview with the dev team, and finally a technical interview. The questions were fair for a dev and felt more like a discussion about past projects.
- Can you explain what SQL indexes are and their purpose?
