First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BHP.
Operator
We had a video interview. It was nice and relaxed. They asked questions about safety, my past experience, and working in a team. Also, how I dealt with specific scenarios in the past. It went for about twenty minutes and there was a panel of three interviewers. It was one of the easier online interviews if you're prepared.
- How do you handle safety concerns?
- How would you deal with safety issues?

I had my HireVue today, and since there wasn't much info from others on Glassdoor about the HireVue part, I figured I'd share the questions I got. It's a video assessment.
- Can you tell me about a time you elevated performance standards for yourself or your team? What was the situation, what did you do to set a new standard, and what happened as a result?
- Talk about a tough decision you had to make that impacted others at work. What did you use to make that decision? Describe the situation, what you did, and how it turned out.
- Give an instance where you helped lead or guide a team to reach a shared objective. What was the situation, what actions did you take, and what was the outcome?

The interview process was really fast and the interviewers were very nice and informative. I came in nervous but the interviewers were very down to earth and gave me the chance to express myself and did not use hard questions that made me had to question myself. Overall the company so far shines really brightly in my eyes from the interview so far.
- Tell me about a time you used the STAR method.
