Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bharti Airtel.
Key Account Manager
The interview process was smooth but took a while. The people involved were supportive, and the compensation structure was clearly explained before the interviews began. The HR team was helpful. They asked basic questions about my work experience and education. This sales-oriented company emphasizes teamwork.
- Can you answer some rapid-fire personality questions?
Account Manager
Got an email from a recruiter in South Africa back in Dec 2011 asking for my CV. Then, in March 2012, they sent a follow-up email confirming the position. The first interview was a phone call on April 21st where they asked about my professional experience (years, skills), why I wanted to leave my current job, my current workload (industry, customers, management), and my future aspirations (how long I'd stay, 5-year plan). The next interview was an in-person panel on April 24th with three people: a Channel Partner, an HR Manager, and the Country Manager. This was more about my personality (self-description, drivers, goals), my current/past roles (workload, achievements), using STAR statements for wins and team/individual work style, and my skill set (why hire me, what I bring, how I'm upskilling). I was confirmed for the job on June 13th, 2012, got the offer letter on July 9th, and my start date was July 23rd, 2012.
- Given your commendable achievements, why would you consider leaving your current employment?
Key Account Manager
The interview process started with an aptitude test that included verbal logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, a psychometric test, and situational analysis. This was followed by three panel interviews, and finally an HR interview.
- Can you describe your previous role?
- Tell me about yourself, covering both your personal and professional background.
- What industries have you worked with?
