Before setting up any interviews, a recruiter contacted me to confirm my salary expectations. Instead of scheduling an interview, they just asked if I would accept their proposed salary, which was on the lower end of the market rate. I reluctantly agreed, and after emailing them twice about the next steps, they informed me they had moved on to other candidates. It's strange to reach out if you don't intend to interview.
- Regarding the compensation of $XXXXXX for this position, does it meet your expectations?
Implementation Manager
I went through three interview rounds. First, a recruiter screening call. Then, a 30-minute chat with a Sr PM and the PS Director. Finally, a 1.5-hour interview with the Sr PM, PS Director, and some team members, where I had to present a deck about a past project. Everyone was really nice, but the recruiter ended up ghosting me, which seems to have happened to others too.
- What would be your response to scenario X?
- What would be your response to scenario Y?
Implementation Manager
The interview process was great and consisted of two main stages. First, there was a panel interview. Then, the second stage involved giving a presentation about a past project. In that second stage, I also got to talk with current employees about the role and the company, and management wasn't there during that part.
- Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
- What's your approach when a vendor doesn't agree on the project's success criteria?
