I had one of the weirdest screening calls ever. The invite said it would go deep into my experience, but they didn't ask anything about my background or skills. It was just a quick rundown of the job and then goodbye. They've reposted this job a lot for just one role in Australia, and there are tons of applicants. It honestly feels like they're just casting a wide net, maybe even for a role that isn't real. Whatever it is, it's not professional and doesn't respect candidates' time. Other people have noticed this too.

This was a bit of an unusual recruiter screen. The recruiter gave a quick rundown of the company and the position, then asked if I had any questions. We chatted about those for about 10-15 minutes, and then it was over. They didn't ask anything about my experience, skills, background, or current job, not even the standard 'walk me through your resume.' It was just a quick wrap-up and we said goodbye. It made me wonder how they're evaluating candidates – is it just gut feeling, astrological signs, or some secret internal metric? While I'm open to a conversational interview, skipping the assessment of experience and skill fit is definitely a choice. If you're looking for a process where you feel thoroughly evaluated, this probably isn't it.

Started with a recruiter chat, pretty chill, just checking experience and if I was into Beyond. Then talked to the hiring manager, got a good feel for the job and what tools they use daily. Next up was a panel interview with the CS Team, hiring manager, and implementation manager. I had to prep and give a demo of software I know, plus do an application and presentation. Before that, I had to do a written assignment. After the panel, I met 1:1 with the implementation manager and another person from the CS Team, which was cool to get different viewpoints. The last interview was with the founder. Got the offer a few days later over the phone from the hiring manager.
