The process included two phone interviews and then a Zoom interview that had a presentation and a panel. I thought the process was a bit disorganized because the interview got rescheduled a couple of times, multiple people were late, and some didn't seem engaged or ready. They either didn't have questions for me or couldn't answer basic questions about the company's current focuses. It makes me wonder what their worst behavior would be if this was their best attempt to impress a candidate. I also don't get why Glassdoor keeps rejecting this review. I didn't name anyone specific, so is it really not okay to say 'some' people were late? If I can't say that, what's the point of writing a review? Are only reviews saying everyone was perfect and I loved the process accepted?

I spoke with HR who mentioned the hiring manager was keen to chat. They said I'd need to give a casual presentation about my research, and we set a date. A week later, HR informed me that some directors wouldn't be available on the scheduled date, so the interview needed to be moved up. They suggested new dates, and we picked one. This new date conflicted with prior commitments I had to reschedule. It also left me with little prep time, as it was scheduled right after a major holiday. When I arrived, only one of the interviewers HR mentioned was there, making the date change seem unnecessary. I was put in a small room and met with a scientist who said they were hiring rapidly and had flexible requirements for background and experience. After my presentation, I got immediate negative feedback that my skills weren't a good fit. I was then rather rudely shown out.
