Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BetterHelp.
Counselor
The process wasn't very productive or helpful. I had some concerns early on that I brought up, which would have potentially stopped me from going through the recruitment process. However, after completing the tests and interviews, those concerns turned out to be a real issue, even though I was assured they wouldn't be.
- Can you describe your assessment methods?
- What is your approach to this role?
Counselor
Had a couple of video interviews to check my ability to be professional, make sure I have a neutral clinical space background with good sound and internet connection and privacy, and they also gave me written clinical scenarios to analyze, then a background check, and I had to make a draft counselor profile, and give my npi number and license verification.
- Could you describe your therapeutic approach and the demographics you have experience with?
Counselor
The interview process involved an online case study, a questionnaire, and a virtual interview, all done via email on separate days. The virtual interview was brief, lasting about 10-15 minutes, and mainly served to confirm the information I had already submitted. I received quick responses for each part of the process.
- How are you a good fit for the platform?
