Behavioral Presentation

It was a thorough and professional process. I had several virtual interviews with different department heads, and then an in-person meeting with the general manager. I felt like they really paid attention to me and supported me throughout. The team seems to genuinely care about their clients, both the ones they serve and the ones within the company.

So, Ve from Talent Acquisition reached out via email to set up an initial chat. We had a call scheduled, and then Ve called me. I got to share more about myself and learned about the Customer Care Specialist role at Better Place Forests. After that, Ve emailed me to set up the first interview with Brandon. I interviewed with Brandon on Zoom. A few days later, Ve emailed again to schedule the final interviews. This involved separate Zoom calls with Reid, Karly, Ineke, and Brandon, each about 45 minutes long, starting with Reid at 8:30 am. Finally, Ve left a voicemail and email, and I spoke with her the next day. She let me know I got the job, and I accepted!

The interview process started off well, but unfortunately, it stalled after the second round. I was asked to prepare a presentation, but I didn't get to present it even after having a review session with a team member. The position was filled in the week and a half between my review session and when HR finally let me know. I was proactive throughout, so I was pretty disappointed I didn't get to show what I could do.

I was sent a link to my portfolio and then invited for my first in-person interview, which had a portfolio review with about 6 people and a top-grading session after. A few days later, I got a product design challenge and had a week to do it. After sending it back, I was invited for a final onsite. This included reviewing my challenge with around 10 people, including one of the co-founders/COO. After that, I met 1:1 with some team members. A few days later, I had a phone call with the co-founder/CEO to discuss his vision for the company and answer my questions. They asked for 2-3 references, who were contacted soon after. The whole thing was pretty smooth and enjoyable, and everyone I met was sharp, engaged, and passionate about the company's mission. They were really open to my questions and easy to talk to. I ultimately decided it wasn't the best fit for me, but I genuinely enjoyed the process.
