Account Manager
I got contacted by a recruiter via CareerBuilder.com. First I met with a nice HR person who made me feel welcome. Then I had a quick 10-15 minute chat with a manager about what I was looking for and a bit about the workplace. A few days later, during my second interview, another lady went into more detail about the job. She was also kind and friendly. We talked about what I wanted in a position, and she shared info on hours, pay, and the work vibe. That chat was about 45 mins to an hour. I liked her casual style, coming from corporate America. Finally, I met with the CEO for about 30 minutes. We talked about where he's taking the company, the kind of people he wants on board, and how clients appreciate BBC's services. The whole thing took about 2 hours over 2 weeks, and everyone was really nice.

Account Manager
The company presented themselves well to candidates, but it was a bit deceptive. It's basically a door-to-door sales job and a pyramid scheme where you get "promoted" to higher roles. Not much experience is really needed. They advertise online as "professional" with different job titles to trick people, and also as a "great sales opportunity." However, it's the worst kind of sales and won't provide real sales experience for beginners. I thought they did commercial sales, but they actually just partner with companies to push products door-to-door in homes daily. They were tricky in the interview, asking smart questions and having a good front, but on the first day of training, I realized I was overqualified and quit due to the deception. I don't have an issue with what they do, but this review is for those doing research like I did to understand the actual job.

Account Manager
After I applied, an HR person reached out and asked me some basic questions and gave me a quick rundown of the job. I liked how professional and kind they seemed, so I went in for an interview the next day. I met with Don, the hiring manager, who asked me questions about my goals and what I wanted in a job. He explained that everyone starts at an entry level and they want people who are eager to grow and move up quickly. Since I was already in an entry-level role, this wasn't a surprise, and I was glad to talk to the owner. I asked about pay and advancement, and he was very open. The first interview was about 10 minutes, and he said they'd call back those they were interested in. I got a call later that day to schedule a second interview. In the second interview, I met with a leader who talked more about the company's direction and gave more details on pay, advancement, and daily tasks. I was really impressed with the people and their training. I got a call later and was offered the job, which I accepted. The whole process was fast and one of my favorites because I learned a lot about a new industry and met some great people.
