First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Better Business Bureaus.
Account Manager
I applied online and then got a request for an interview. I had a short interview with the manager through Indeed. That was it. I actually took back my application after I spoke to him. I didn't think the culture would be a good fit for me after our chat.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
Director of Sales
Initially very responsive. First interview was a one-way video call. 10 questions, only 1 min to answer each. Very impersonal. No additional follow-up after interview was sent in. I understand the need for efficiency but I don't think this is an effective way to evaluate people.
- Who are 3 celebrities you'd like to have dinner with?
Business Development Coordinator
There were a few interview rounds, but everyone was really nice. The first one was a phone call, and then I had a second interview with two people from the team I might join. They asked about my background to see how my previous jobs would fit with the position.
- What makes you want to interview with BBB over other companies?
- How do your previous experiences align with the requirements of this role?
Customer Access Representative
The interview process was supposed to be straightforward, but it was handled really poorly. They missed my phone interview twice because they were 'overbooked.' After my in-person interview, they said I'd hear back the next day. Three weeks later, I still hadn't heard anything. I've emailed and called several times. My last call was declined, so I took that as my answer. I wouldn't want to work for people who can't manage their time.
- What are your de-escalation techniques?
- Describe your greatest strength.
- What is your greatest weakness?
