First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Betsol.
Java Developer
The interview process took about 2 days. On the first day, all the technical rounds were completed. The next day was the managerial round. I am waiting for the last client round review. There were 5 rounds in total: 3 technical, 1 program execution, and a managerial round.
- Tell me about your experience with Spring.
- Can you explain your knowledge of Hibernate?
- What are your thoughts on Java?
Senior Java Developer
They didn't even give me an interview. Worst company !! Cheap employee and HR mentality and very bad office infrastructure (looks even worse than a 3rd grade cyber cafe). Total 6 rounds were taken. 1st was online test, followed by 2 technical telephonic rounds. After clearing those, I was called to their office to give a face-to-face interview. They gave me a test to create custom stringbuilder methods i.e, append() and toString() (very easy). After that, two technical interviews were taken. Both were 1 hr each. After that, they were not able to reject me, as I was sure of my interview. Then after that, they made some lame excuse of the written test being evaluated by someone else. So they told me to hold for some time. One week later, they told me that I was not selected based on the test feedback. I said "What!!", Such a lame answer.
- Online test on HackerRank
- Implement custom stringbuilder methods, specifically append() and toString()
Java Developer
HR first told me there would be only 3 rounds: a telephone round, a face-to-face tech interview, and a manager round. However, when I got to the interview, there were 3 surprise rounds. The first was a telephone round, followed by a face-to-face with one developer, then another face-to-face with a more senior developer, and then a face-to-face with the delivery head. After that, there was a surprise coding round and an online tech round. The website for the online tech round was full of bugs. The interviewer focused on googled questions not relevant to the job description. For a Java application developer role, asking to implement StringBuffer is not relevant when knowing its functionality, when, and where to use it is sufficient. This company doesn't value candidates' time.
- Can you implement Stringbuffer?
- Can you answer some basic Java questions?
