This interview process is really long, especially since they use a recruiter for every interview. There are several meetings and role-playing sessions with various executives. It feels like a lot of waiting around.

I got contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn and they gave me the basics about the job, and I was immediately interested. After a quick phone screening with the recruiter, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager a few days later. Then, we met in person at the Berlin office for a 2-hour face-to-face interview. We spent the time getting to know each other and answering all questions. I also met 3 other sales reps that same day. After they did some checks with my past and current employers in other states, we both decided that Berlin would be a great place for me! After that, I was sent to Chicago for two more face-to-face interviews and a sales presentation. I'm really impressed with how they do things in Berlin; it shows they really look for people with the right traits for the industry and also want to make sure it's a good fit for you. They were super upfront about everything!

Behavioral Presentation

Had a phone interview with HR, which was standard. Then, I flew to Dallas two weeks later to meet with the west VP, had lunch with the sales team, and an informal interview with the regional VP of sales. Two weeks after that, I flew to HQ in Chicago to meet the EVP of sales, COO, and VP of HR. This also included lunch. They gave me 30 minutes to prepare an on-the-spot presentation about the company, but they came in 15 minutes early, so I couldn't finish. I told them I've never had to rush a customer presentation. I felt the HQ team was disconnected from the Dallas office, getting conflicting messages and impressions. The HQ team struggled to understand that people sometimes leave jobs for a change and borderline accused me of lying about my reasons for leaving my previous company, which was a first in my 60+ interviews. After a month of my time and 4 days of PTO, I heard nothing back. I reached out four times over 30 days to multiple people and got no response, which shows the company's character.
