Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Berkshire Hathaway.
Office Administrator
I applied on Indeed and the managing broker called me two days later. The next day, I went in for an interview. It was pretty straightforward, more like a chat than a formal interview. Everyone was quite welcoming.
- What draws you to a career in real estate?
Office Assistant
I applied online through Cal State Long Beach. Then, I got an email from the company and went in for an interview. I met with the manager and he said he would call me the next day. I got a call the next day and got the job. Overall, it's a great company and you'll enjoy your days at work. I had the honor of meeting the owner and learning about the history of the company. The interview process was very straight to the point. Dress business casual. I would recommend this business to friends and family. The teams work well with each other in the same building.
- Why do you want to work for Berkshire Hathaway?
Administrative
I had a google hangout interview for a work-at-home position. The interview lasted about an hour, and I was hired afterward. The interviewer sent me a link with information to read. I'm a bit concerned now after reading some Glassdoor comments, but I'm wondering if Glassdoor would post jobs for a fake company.
- Can you describe how you manage stressful situations?
- What is your self-rating for typing skills and accuracy?
- What makes you believe you are the right candidate for this job?
