First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Berkowitz Pollack Brant.
Marketing Coordinator
I had a Zoom interview scheduled with the hiring manager, but she didn't show up. After waiting ten minutes, she emailed to reschedule. After that initial interview, I was asked to provide my availability for a second interview with the CMO. I sent my availability, but then heard nothing for over two weeks, I felt ghosted. When I finally heard back, it was to say they chose another candidate. The whole interview process felt really unprofessional.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
Intern
The interview process was really put together well. All the people I met from the firm made me feel like I fit in and gave me a great impression of the company and themselves. They genuinely wanted to see if I and the firm were a good match. I got to talk to people with all sorts of career paths, from those who previously worked at a big 4 firm to those who began their careers at this company. We all went to a banquet-style lunch where the firm gave a presentation about their culture, history, and different divisions like tax, audit, litigation, wealth advisory, and real estate.
- Can you share a work experience that you found particularly impactful or educational?
Tax Associate
It was a campus interview followed by office interviews. It was a day-long process where we came in the morning and first met everyone in the firm. We had the opportunity to speak to other young professionals in the firm before we started interviewing with partners. Then we spoke to four different partners for about half an hour. Then we went out to lunch and spoke to other firm members. And then the interview process was over.
- What are your 5-year career goals?
Rotational Program
The interviewer was super nice and we had a friendly chat about my interests in accounting and BPC. It felt more like a conversation than a formal Q&A.
- Can you tell me about the community service you're involved in?
- What are some of your strengths and weaknesses?
- What makes you want to pursue a career in accounting?
