Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Berger Hirschberg Strategies.
Intern
The interview was pretty straightforward. I had a one-on-one chat with the hiring manager where we discussed my previous experiences. It was mainly behavioral questions, but they also asked about current politics. It wasn't a tough interview.
- Can you tell me about any political experience you have from the past?
Fellow
The interview process was really comfortable and straightforward. They asked the usual interview questions without any surprises and were very welcoming. Before answering, they explained the role and the different areas of work available.
- Can you share some information about yourself and your background?
Intern
I found an internship opening at BHS on indeed and applied. They got back to me through email and we set up a phone call to talk about the internship, what it involved, and pay. Then, I had a final phone interview where we talked for about 40 minutes about political fundraising, my background, and why I'd be good for the job.
- What draws you to a career in political fundraising?
- Could you explain your background and articulate why you believe you're a suitable candidate for this role?
