Intern
The interview was pretty straightforward. I had a one-on-one chat with the hiring manager where we discussed my previous experiences. It was mainly behavioral questions, but they also asked about current politics. It wasn't a tough interview.
- Can you tell me about any political experience you have from the past?
Summer Fellow
It was just one round, a pretty laid-back Zoom chat with a manager. They'll hit you with some basic questions and give you the lowdown on the different teams. Just make sure you seem politically engaged.
- Can you walk me through your experience?
Development Associate
Two staffers talked to me. They asked about my previous fundraising experience, my ability to handle multiple tasks at once, and if I'm open to staffing and traveling with different political clients. They also inquired about my familiarity with Excel and NGP.
- How do you manage your time and tasks effectively?
- Can you describe your experience with fundraising?
- Are you willing to travel and provide support to political clients?
Deputy Finance Director
I had to go in for an in-person meeting with the staff. The questions were mostly about how I'd handle specific situations, like if I had to fundraise for a member of congress, where I'd begin my search for donors.

- Where would you begin looking for donors if asked to fundraise for a member of congress?
