First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Berdon.
Audit Associate
I went to a university career fair and met some people from the company. I gave them my resume and then applied through my school's job site. They invited me to an interview and also had a dinner the night before. The dinner was to see what kind of person I was and how I interacted with others. The actual interview was pretty chill since I talked to the same woman I met at dinner. She then invited me to a second round of interviews at their NYC office.
- What makes you want to work in accounting?
- Tell me about a significant achievement.
Audit Associate
I applied through my school's campus career center. The recruiter took all of us candidates out to dinner first, and then we had interviews the next day. The dinner was a chance to get to know everyone's personalities and see if they could hold a conversation outside of work. The interview itself wasn't too difficult, and there weren't any really tough questions.
- Can you describe a time you encountered a problem and explain how you dealt with it?
Auditor
There were two rounds with different teams. The first round had HR, supervisor, manager, and a partner. The second round had a manager and a partner. They asked for details on the work I did on audits. I think the partner in the second round decides if you're a good fit. HR was really nice and stayed with me between interviewer meetings.
- Tell me about the detailed work experience you have.
- What exactly do you do in your current position?
