Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bentley Systems.
Intern
The interview process is quite lengthy. Had 2 technical interviews, 1 HR & then technical with senior employee. Focus was my projects & the depth of knowledge of OOPS, SQL & my favourite programming language. They also tested my problem solving skills with 2 medium DSA problems based on Hashing, Precomputation & Graphs. Final round had questions from the language I chose for programming & my experiences so far in my BTech journey.
- Could you explain Exception Handling?
- Can you provide examples for the pillars of OOPS?
- How about SQL joins?
Intern
I got contacted for a phone interview, but then they never called. I emailed again and they rescheduled for two weeks later. After the phone interview, they offered me an in person interview and said they would contact me the following week to schedule. It's been two months and I haven't heard back. It feels like a waste of time.
- Tell me about a time you were part of a team.
- How would you describe your communication skills?
Intern
I applied through my university and got a call back about a week later saying I'd made it to the next stage. Then I had to go to the office for a computer test, which was followed by a technical interview. After passing the computer test, they did the technical interview right away, and then after about a week, I had an HR interview. The technical interview was the most in-depth, so definitely prepare for that.
- Tell me about your understanding of Object-Oriented programming concepts.
- Can you discuss your knowledge of Programming Techniques?
- What are your thoughts on Databases concepts?
