Client Success Manager
I started the process in November 2021. It began with a recruiter call, followed by two rounds with Managers of Client Success, and then a final round with the Director of Client Success. The first two rounds were typical introductory and situational questions. The last interview included a brief case study. Everything seemed to go well, and we even talked about start dates, but the role was put on hold for the holidays. I was told someone would contact me in the new year. Around mid-January, I followed up with a recruiter, and she seemed enthusiastic about my continued interest and promised an update call. She left a voicemail asking me to call back, but my subsequent calls only went to her voicemail. I emailed again but received no response. Weeks later, the job was posted again, so I reached out to the recruiter. She mentioned someone else was now handling the role but would pass along my information. That was the last I heard from her. A few weeks after that, a different recruiter contacted me, saying they found my resume and asked if I was still interested. I confirmed my interest in continuing our previous conversation and asked about the next steps. We then set up a call with some of the CS team. To my surprise, during this meeting, I discovered it wasn't a continuation but a complete re-interview process. One of the interviewers was someone I had already spoken with. This happened in early March, just a few months after the initial process. They asked the exact same questions, and again, it seemed to go well. I was told I'd hear back the following week, but then... silence. I followed up asking for an update or feedback, but all my messages went unanswered. It seems like a great company with a cool mission and a platform that could do a lot of good. The people I interviewed with were enthusiastic about their work, easy to connect with, and genuinely seemed like good people. However, the recruitment team's disorganization, inefficiency, and lack of follow-through made for a frustrating experience and left a negative impression of the company.

Client Success Manager
The experience was great starting with the HR outreach and continuing with the Client Success Team. Benevity was clear about their timelines and shared details/answered questions about the role, expectations, and interview process. The team was engaging throughout the candidate evaluation.
- Could you elaborate on the standard questions asked for a Client Success Manager position?
Client Success Manager
I had a good initial conversation with HR. After that, there was radio silence. I didn't receive any updates, neither from the HR person I spoke with nor from an automated rejection email, despite sending a few follow-up emails asking for information. While the interactions with people within the company were positive, the overall hiring process was disappointing due to the lack of follow-through.
- What makes you want this job?
- What attracts you to our company?
- Can you describe your background and what you've done?
