It starts with an audition where you have to demonstrate your sales skills. They said there would be a participation fee, but I never received it! They explained very little and already expected high performance. Then there's a phone interview, mainly to understand your expectations, as the contract terms are unclear, especially the duration of the fixed-term contract and the possibility of it becoming permanent. These are almost always maternity cover positions.

My interview process started with a one on one chat, basically asking standard CV questions and looking for someone who is outgoing, excitable and passionate. They really want to see you smiling and confident. Right after that, on the same day, I had an audition. I did the audition at the Debenhams counter and it was all about getting customers. I had to ask every single person walking by to come over for a 'free exclusive mini makeover'. The main goal was to get customers to sit down and then buy products. They give you advice beforehand on which products they want you to use during the audition. One of the team members advised me to get at least three people to sit down. The initial interview lasted about 15 minutes, and the audition on the counter went for 3 hours.
