Behavioral Technical Presentation

I was first asked to do a video interview, which I really didn't like because it felt awkward talking to a screen. Then, I got invited for an in-person interview at their main office. The people there were really nice and made me feel comfortable, and the questions were pretty standard for this kind of job. After that, they hit me with a written test about retail, which was tough since that's not my background, but I gave it my best shot. Unfortunately, the follow-up after the interview was a letdown; they didn't get back to me when they said they would and kind of dropped the ball.

So first there was this recorded video thing, which was actually pretty decent. Then, a video call where I had to show off my makeup skills, the person I talked to was super nice and friendly. After that, I had an in-person interview at the actual store where I'd be working. The whole thing took about three weeks, at least.

First, there was an online questionnaire that was super easy. After that, a 10-15 minute phone call to go over basic stuff like availability, favorite products, and your CV. Then, an online video, which was either a makeup application (like a YouTube tutorial, half a face) or in-depth scenario questions (especially if you've worked for Benefit before). This part was about 30 minutes, and the team made it really relaxed. They prefer if you use Benefit products for the makeup part, but it's okay if you don't have any. For the MANAGER ROLE, I had to do a 20-minute presentation on my business plan and SWOT analysis. Finally, there was a store approval stage, which took about 10-15 minutes. This was like a mini-interview where they asked about your experience, availability, about you, and about the specific store.
