First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bench Accounting.
Accounting Associate
It was a pretty chill interview over zoom. I had two chats. First was with someone from the hiring crew, then I talked to someone from operations. The first chat had questions like you'd get in any tech job, asking about how my past work fits this role. The second chat was pretty much the same, but they asked more about how I handle giving and getting feedback.
- Can you describe your process for both giving and receiving feedback?
- How does your past experience translate to the requirements of this role?
Staff Accountant
We have a multi-stage hiring process to bring in new team members. Typically, the process goes like this: first we write up a job description, then we post the job, after that we schedule interviews, then we conduct preliminary interviews, followed by in-person interviews, we then follow up with candidates, and finally we make a hire.
- Can you start by telling me about yourself?
- How did you find out about this role?
- What makes you want to join our company?
Accountant
I interviewed for an accounting role at Bench Accounting. The management team was really friendly and made all candidates feel welcome. The interviewers were nice and created a comfortable setting. I had a good chat with management, which shows it was a structured process. They were really hospitable to everyone. The interview was of average difficulty, not too hard or too easy. I didn't get an offer, but it was still a good experience. Overall, it was a neutral experience. Even though I didn't get the job, the process was professional, and I think positively of the company.
