The interview process was quite smooth and moved along quickly. There were 3 rounds: first, an OA with math olympiad-style questions and 2 coding problems. Second, a 45-minute interview with a trader. Third, a Super day involving trading games, market making, and behavioral assessments. The OA was pretty straightforward, though the math section felt like a time crunch. The coding tasks involved basic data processing and parsing, making it one of the more manageable OAs. The interview with the trader included a mix of behavioral questions, mental math, and probability/expected value questions. I was invited to the Super day, but unfortunately, they cancelled it the day before, stating they had already filled the position. It seems interviews are on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's best to sign up for the earliest available slot.
- Tell me about your previous summer.
- Can you answer some basic probability and expected value questions, like calculating the expected value of rolling two dice?

I sent in my resume and cover letter in early September via campus recruiting and got a response about a month later for a video call interview. The first round lasted about 45 minutes, covering behavior, mental math, and brainteasers, with time for my questions. The second round was in the office. It involved two written math tests focusing on speed, an electronic trading game, an open-outcry game, a 1-1 market making game, and a 1-1 behavior interview. It's a long day, and practicing mental math and market making (watching bid-ask spreads) would be really helpful before you go in.
- What's the best way to split 50 red and 50 blue marbles into two jars to get the highest probability of drawing a red marble, and what's that probability as a decimal?

So, the interview was on HireVue. First, there were multiple-choice questions, 14 of them, and it was like a 30-minute segment. Then, there were two coding challenges, also 30 minutes each. So, the whole thing was 90 minutes. The multiple-choice questions felt like AIME practice questions, mostly the easier ones, but the time was really tight.
- How would you calculate the weighted moving average for a series of trades?

“Given 100 coins, where 99 are normal heads/tails and one is double-headed, if I randomly select a coin, flip it seven times, and get seven consecutive heads, what's the probability that the coin is the double-headed one versus a regular heads/tails coin?”
