I recall two interviews. The first seemed to be with HR. They went over the role, the expected hours, what they were looking for in me, and how the commission pay structure worked. She also looked at my portfolio, which gave me a chance to talk more about my background. The second interview was with a Regional Director or Manager. They confirmed I understood the hours and expectations. They also asked some of the same questions as the first interview. I've heard from other photographers that prior experience with newborn photography isn't necessary because they provide training.

Technical Behavioral Case

I interviewed for a newborn photographer job at Bella Baby Photography. The first few interviews were fun and easy, a good experience. But then I interviewed with a sales manager from Chicago for the hospital photographer role and it got negative. She talked about low pay and problems with hospital staff. She also made some comments about low sales to diverse communities, like immigrants and Hispanics, saying things like 'there are too many of them.' This was a big red flag for me because I really believe in workplace diversity. I hope this feedback helps Bella Baby Photography become more inclusive.
