First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bell.
Sales Associate
First, you'll have a call with the recruiter. They'll ask about your background, why you want this job, and your pros and cons. Then, you'll chat with the store manager. They'll pose situation-based questions to check your sales smarts, how you deal with unhappy customers, and your selling tactics. Finally, HR will make an offer.
- Tell me why you are interested in this particular role.
- What's your approach to dealing with an angry customer?
- How do you ensure an unhappy customer remains loyal?
Sales Associate
It was a 3 round interview process. The first round was based on resume and was virtual, then the second round was in person with the manager, and the final round was with HR. They asked about my availability and sales background. The interview was pretty easy to moderate.
- Can you tell me about your experience in sales?
- What is your approach or strategy for sales?
- What would you consider your greatest strength?
Sales Associate
It was a really long and exhausting interview process for a low-paying entry-level job. First, I applied online and then got an email to complete a behavioral questionnaire that took about an hour. A week later, I had a video interview with 5 basic questions, including why I want to work there, why I'm a good fit, my biggest weakness, and how I handled a dissatisfied customer. This video interview was straightforward, with about 30 seconds to prep for each question and no live interviewer. Then, two weeks later, I got an email for a group interview at the store. There were over twenty candidates and about 5-6 Bell employees. We introduced ourselves, paired up, and did a hypothetical group project about saving people from a sinking boat (who would you save out of 20: Richard Branson, Bill Gates, pregnant lady, etc.?). The employees watched and took notes on our interactions. This took two hours, followed by a 30-minute one-on-one interview with two employees. They said we'd hear back in 48 hours. The whole thing took about a month and 4-5 hours, which felt like too much for the pay. A week after that, I got a call to interview at another store, but I declined because I'd already put in so much time.
- Can you tell us about yourself?
- What is one weakness you possess?
- What motivates you to want to work for Bell?
