First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Belk.
Loss Prevention Manager
I had one interview with the Regional LP manager and the store manager. They asked about my history, experience, and how I handled and conducted myself as a lp manager. I came from a different store but already had experience under my belt. Had to fill out online application and had copies of my resume in hand. Dressed professional.
- What are your goals?
- What about your future goals?
- Where do you see yourself in five years?
Manager
The interview was with a Manager. General questions were asked. Management didn’t seem engaged and kept answering calls, like they have too many irons in the fire. The manager mentioned long work days as the standard, which isn't great for work-life balance.
- What's the best leadership quality you think someone can have?
Assistant Manager
The interview was really nice. The staff was on time and prepared. The interviewer seemed genuinely interested in me and asked a lot about my past jobs and schooling. They also went over the dress code and benefits. The interviewer has been with the company for 30 years, so they knew a lot. They were very relatable and easy to chat with. It was quick and to the point. I'm hoping for a second interview!
- No questions were asked, it was very straightforward.
