I had the first interview with HR, partly in English and partly in Portuguese. I moved on to the second phase where I was asked to develop a data ingestion project, which would be evaluated in the technical interview. I submitted the project on time and heard nothing for months. I followed up 3 times and the response was that they were evaluating. Just when I had given up after more than 2 months, another recruiter called me saying I had passed to the technical interview. When I showed up for the technical interview, 3 of the evaluators didn't show up and only a recently hired guy was there. I talked to him but he didn't even know about the test I had taken. Nothing was actually evaluated and I received no feedback afterward. The worst process I've ever been through, lack of professionalism in providing feedback, in meeting deadlines, in evaluating what they themselves asked for, and months of silence. If it's already like this before joining the company, imagine inside? I don't recommend it to anyone.

Depois, tive uma entrevista técnica com uma Analista Sênior/Especialista, com live coding de manipulação de dados em Python e algumas perguntas teóricas de estatística, SQL e modelagem. Em seguida, outra entrevista técnica com o Gestor direto, onde ele me enviou uma base de dados e pediu pra tirar informações dela ao vivo, compartilhando a tela (qual valor médio da base, como é a distribuição dos dados, como modelar pra estimar um valor futuro). Ele também fez perguntas pra entender meu raciocínio lógico pra tomada de decisão e cases de negócio. A entrevista final foi com o gestor geral/diretor da área, focada em cultura, momento de carreira e histórico profissional. O processo todo durou menos de 2 semanas.

First contact via HR, by WhatsApp and then a call with basic questions. They sent a case that theoretically should be done in a week, but it turns out to be complex to solve in that time, especially if you are currently working or have an active life in general. Case sent, I received the rejection by email (now by email) and without any feedback after dedicating many hours to the case. Honestly, they should improve the evaluation methodology, there was no technical interview, only this nonsensical case. There are many more effective ways to evaluate candidates.

First up is a quick chat, maybe 5-15 mins, over the phone or video, where the recruiter or hiring manager checks if you're qualified, available, and actually want the job. Then, there's a more focused interview, lasting 15-30 mins, with the hiring manager or a small group of people. This is where they dig into your experience, skills for the job, and if you'd fit in with the company. Sometimes, they might ask you to do a small task or talk about past work to see how good you are at stuff, but this part is optional and might not happen for entry-level or less technical roles. It usually takes another 15-30 minutes.
