The interview process was in-person and had multiple steps where I talked to different people at BPMI. I first had a chat with an HR rep about BPMI's benefits. Then, I met with a panel of engineers and they asked about ten questions, mostly behavioral. I also talked to one of the junior engineers to find out more about the job duties. We finished up with lunch together at the company cafeteria.

I met a recruiter at a career fair and they were impressed. A week later, I got called to schedule a phone interview. The next day, I had the phone interview which was behavioral questions about teamwork and leadership. The manager who interviewed me was nice and kept me comfortable. I got to ask questions at the end. A few days later, I was invited for an on-site interview. They flew me out, gave me a car and a hotel. I flew in the day before to check out the area. The next day, things were a bit slow. I checked in with HR and then had to do a drug test. The interviews started and went by fast. I interviewed with a manager first, then a panel of two. The manager rejoined them, and the panel interview finished with all three. Then, I had a few minutes with a junior engineer to ask questions. The formal interview was over. We went to lunch, and after lunch, I finished up with HR. It was a good interview, but it wasn't the right fit for me because they wanted someone with a strong technical background. They asked a lot of questions that led to technical follow-ups, wanting to hear about the technical side of my projects. The interviewers were friendly and laid back. Be ready to prove your technical expertise!

We'll start with a quick chat with HR to go over your schooling and what's on your resume. Then, you'll come in for an onsite interview that's usually about 4 hours. It includes a 30-45 minute chat with the lead interviewer about your resume, followed by a longer 1 hour panel interview where we'll dive into your experiences, ask some behavioral questions, and talk about project management.
