Their online job application was great; it only asked for my name, phone, and an optional resume upload, skipping psych tests or detailed work history. Later that day, the store manager called to set up an interview for the next day. The interview itself went well; she assessed my fit for the role while explaining the job duties. A few hours after that, I received a job offer. They decided against offering me the beauty advisor role since I lack prior experience in that specific area, but that's okay as I'm aiming to move into the salon position anyway. I'm really looking forward to starting and appreciate that the hiring process wasn't overly long or complicated.

Behavioral Presentation

Saw the job posting on craigslist for a sales associate role. The ad said to apply in person, so I went to the store and filled out an application and asked to see the manager. I interviewed with the manager and assistant manager two days later. It seemed to go okay. Before your interview, you should totally check out their website to learn about the company, like how many employees they have, how many stores they own, what their core values are, and who their target customers are.

Sent resume got email for interview for the next week. The district manager was late, the interview was easy. Got an email that she would contact me at the end of the week, no response. I emailed wanting to know where I stood, no response. Emailed back 2 weeks later, said my application got water damaged and needed to be redone and they would reach out on Monday. No reach out for 2 weeks then an email stating they went another way. I am glad I did not get the job, I did not like the way things were handled.

Behavioral Technical

A 3rd party, acting more like an IT consultant than a recruiter, presented my resume. The interview process included a chat with the Head of HR, followed by an interview with the CFO, who would have been my direct manager. The role involved overseeing all IT for a retail-focused company. My knowledge of PCI compliance was queried, and the response wasn't strong, leading to my rejection. It's a privately held company, and like most, it had its ups and downs.
