Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BearingPoint.
Test Manager
The interview took 1.5 hours. First, the company was introduced, including the career levels and paths available. Afterwards, questions about the resume were asked, along with some classic questions like 'Why should we hire you specifically?' or 'What does a typical day look like in your current job?'. The conversation took place in a very pleasant setting and was on equal footing.
- What makes you the ideal candidate for us?
- Could you describe a typical day in your current role?
Manager
Had my first interview and the Senior Manager told me I'd have a second meeting. A week passed with no news, I followed up, but got no response. I then contacted the headhunter who confirmed the second meeting would be scheduled soon. 10 days later, still no news, I followed up again, and the headhunter told me they had doubts about the proposed grade. Bearingpoint didn't even bother to email or call me to explain their decision.
- What difficulties did you encounter during your mission?
Senior Manager
I had a screening call and then two video interviews because of Covid19. Everyone I spoke with was really nice and seemed genuinely curious about me and what I've done. It was a really good experience overall.
- Can you walk me through your CV?
- Is your background a good fit for this position?
