First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bear Claw Events.
Event Coordinator
Applied online and then came in a few days later. First, I met with the HR team. Then, I had my interview with the Office Manager. She was really nice and asked about my hobbies from my resume, which was a nice change! She explained the company and what they're looking for. I didn't really know what the company did when I applied. They were clear about their business and answered my questions about their history and current goals. After that, I was selected for another interview with an account manager. This person went into more detail about the role, including event planning, scheduling, client goals, and how they support clients. It was great that they were so upfront about what the job entails, unlike other companies that hide details.
- Could you describe your leadership style?
Event Coordinator
I put in my application online, and got a call to set up an interview within three days. I went in for my first interview, which was a joint interview with another candidate. We both got asked the same questions, but the interviewer, Matt, switched off who he asked first. They mentioned we'd hear back that evening if we advanced. I did hear back, and then was scheduled to shadow Paul at an event in Sam's Club. During this shadowing, I was asked some questions, and then observed Paul pitching the product to shoppers. Afterward, I was asked about the marketing strategies I noticed Paul using. Then, I had to go home and write a quick email to Paul and Matt explaining my suitability for Bear Claw and how I could contribute to the company's expansion. The next day, Matt called me for a brief phone interview focusing on my Sam's Club experience. I was told I'd know in about two days if I got the job, and indeed I did! It was a great and thorough interview process. They really wanted to ensure we were comfortable with them and their work!
- Can you explain the difference between direct and indirect marketing?
Event Manager
The interview was very fast paced. Myself and another applicant were both interviewed at the same time which I felt was kind of odd and slightly rude. Could easily tell that this place would not be a good fit at all.
