Technical Case

It was 7 rounds total, including a case study. This was a while ago. They asked a lot of technical questions. I could answer them, but at some point, it felt like the interviewers were asking way beyond what was necessary, until I didn't know. I felt it was unnecessary and they were just swinging their ego to make sure I knew they were better.

Technical Behavioral

I started with an online test covering basic finance questions and logic tests. Then, I had my first round with analysts, which was mostly technical questions with a bit of behavioral and motivational stuff. The interviewers were nice and didn't really go deep into my past experiences.

Technical Behavioral

First, there was a CV screening and an aptitude test which included language, accounting, and logic. Then, I had my first interview with a VP where we talked through my CV and they tested my Japanese. The second interview was also with a VP, and this one was more technical, asking about valuation methods, EBITDA, and industry multiples. The third interview was with a Director, focusing on my CV and some personality questions. Finally, the last interview was with an MD, again going over my CV and asking personality-based questions.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Could you explain the three traditional valuation methods?
  • How is EBITDA calculated?
  • What's the typical EBITDA multiple for this industry?
