Case Behavioral Technical

The process was pretty standard, with typical case interviews involving global teams across several rounds. Some interviews also included in-depth behavioral questions and discussions about past experiences. A bit unusual, though, was an intelligence test at the very end of the process.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

It was a pleasant interaction, and it seems like a strong team is working on interesting assignments. However, this was probably the most amateur interview process itself. Three negatives: 1. Long lead times — it took a total of 5+ weeks with more than two weeks (!) between the final interview round and the results. 2. Lack of overall clarity — I had to follow up with the recruitment team multiple times throughout the process to understand what was happening. There was no proactive informing. 3. Lack of consideration for candidate's time — typically you should give an update by Friday, in my case I was told the decision was made but I should hold off until Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday to fit in a 15min calendar slot. This is just unprofessional and disrespectful to candidate's time. Pick up the phone and deliver the news so we can both get on with it. Hiring is the most important thing we do, especially hiring for fast-growing rocket ships. My takeaway from this interaction is that BCG DV might not walk the talk on their most important asset. Not sure if it's just weak recruitment execution or a systemic issue but be aware.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was pretty bad, like something from an old company but with a slick website. It took about two months to set up two interviews. The interviewers came across as arrogant and overconfident. The interviews themselves weren't hard though. I think if you can just talk confidently, you'd do well. I ended up withdrawing after being ghosted for three weeks about the next round.
