Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BCD Travel.
Program Analyst
The interview process was quick and took about 3 weeks. It included a take-home assignment and then a final interview where we reviewed how I completed it. Everyone was very friendly. It seems like a good company to work for.
- Can you describe the types of files you have worked with previously?

After a first phone chat, candidates for this role go through an Experience Day. It starts with a role simulation where they show how they make decisions and communicate. Then, there's a group exercise where candidates team up to tackle problems. I'm not looking for the "right" answer, as there are many ways to solve things. I'm more interested in their thinking process and how they work with others. Since they support individuals, EAs need to work well with other EAs, colleagues, and clients of all levels and locations. The day wraps up with two one-on-one interviews, and I'm one of the people they'll meet with.
- Can you describe how you manage challenging circumstances?
Analyst
The interview process has been a bit of a letdown due to ghosting. I had a phone interview with the hiring manager and a director over 4 weeks ago, and they said they'd get back to me within 2 weeks. Still haven't heard anything. The questions were pretty standard behavioral ones, nothing out of the ordinary. Since it was a remote role, they really emphasized that we have to work during their working hours and can't attend to personal matters, which felt a bit distrustful. They offered a salary range that was significantly lower than the market rate, about 30% less, which is surprising given the job requirements. So, if you get an offer, be ready for some serious salary negotiation.
- Can you share an instance where you had to decide quickly?
