The interview process involved an initial phone call, followed by an in-person meeting at the office. However, the scheduled interviewer was busy, so a different person spoke with me. This conversation was brief, lasting only about five minutes, and took place in a casual setting in their showroom, which felt unprofessional. The interviewer seemed eager to conclude the meeting. I decided not to wait for an offer, as I had a scheduling conflict.

After submitting a long online application, I had a quick phone interview where they asked about my strengths, weaknesses, and why I wanted to work at Nordstrom. Then, I went to a panel interview with five people from HR, the sales team, and management. It was intimidating with so many interviewers, but they made me feel comfortable. They asked more in-depth situational and behavioral questions than the phone interview. Afterward, we went onto the sales floor, and I had to role-play as if an interviewer was a customer and I needed to sell them a product. The interview ended with me stating my top three department preferences.
