This was a really quick interview process, only 3 steps and it all happened in 3 days from applying. First, I met with a hiring manager to talk about the company, the vibe, what the job is like day-to-day, and my personal and business goals. Then, I had a second interview with a full-time employee to get their take on the business and ask whatever I wanted. They also went over the pay (base of $30k-$42k), commission, benefits, vacation, and holidays. The third interview was with another hiring manager where they asked if I had any more questions about the role and what I could bring to BBS. It's pretty typical for a smaller company.

I received a call for an interview and decided to go for it, seeing it as good practice for my first "real job" interview after graduation. My first interview was with Vince, who asked me standard questions to get to know me. I was then invited back for a second interview. I researched the company beforehand and was skeptical about their awards, especially since their website wasn't clear about their product. Negative reviews from former employees also raised concerns. During the second interview, the interviewer explained that the company's awards were mainly for community service, which seemed to explain why they were recognized. He also drew a pyramid diagram to explain how the company makes money.

Saw that BBS was hiring from an Ad on Boston.com and checked out their website and social media. Noticed Boston Globe ranked them #3 in Top Places to Work Boston. After submitting my resume, Micaela called me a few hours later. She was super nice and sent me company info and directions. It's a 3-step interview process, which I think is really effective. The first round is a 20-minute meet and greet. The second round is where you sit down with a full-time employee. I think this is a great way to see if you'd be a good fit, and it gives you an employee's perspective, not just what a hiring manager might say to fill a role. The third round was with a different hiring manager. I got the call at the end of the week and was offered the job.
