Got a call from a recruiting agency about an urgent Account Executive opening in Mumbai. The same day, I got a call (not from HR) to interview the next day. I attended the interview with two people, and it seemed to go well. At the end, they verbally asked me to do an exercise about brand philosophy and send it in a couple of days. I didn't get an official email for the exercise, even after following up the same day. They assured me I'd get the email due to being busy, but I never did. I proactively worked on a 600-word note anyway, but still no email the following week. The recruiter followed up later and was told they needed to discuss my salary expectations with management, despite it being within the range initially mentioned.

It was super casual, I met with the account director and two other team members. Since it was for an internship, they actually shared a lot about their projects and the firm.

You'll first have an interview with HR and the team you'd be joining. These interviews might even happen on the same day. It took about a week to get feedback after my interviews, but if you don't hear back, you can always call HR to check on your status. I feel like advertising agencies are pretty good about keeping candidates in the loop, whether it's a yes or a no. If it's a yes, congrats! If it's a no, they'll usually let you know.
