So I applied online and then got asked to interview for 90 mins. I kinda wish there was a recruiter chat first to see if the role was even a fit, but nope. It was like a 1.5 hour session. We did intros for 15 mins, then I showed 3 case studies for 15 mins, then my take-home assignment for 15 mins. After that was 30 mins of competency questions, and then 15 mins for my questions. That take-home was a beast, easily 4-6 hours, I put in about 6. The whole interview felt like I was doing all the talking for 1.5 hours, and it was super corporate, not really what I expected for this type of job, even though it's a big company. They said I'd hear back the next week since I was the last one. I did get an offer, but the salary was way less than I put on my application, and they said they couldn't do it cause they're public funded. That's why I'm saying a pre-interview chat is so needed, otherwise, I just wasted like 7.5 hours on something that wasn't gonna work out.

after submitting your application you'll have some scenario questions and then you have to prepare an example of a user experience you like and explain why, then there's a group exercise and finally a one hour interview where you pitch 2 projects from your portfolio in 10 mins.
