Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BBC.
Business Analyst
It was a really good and organized interview process. The team included people who could answer my questions about the day-to-day aspects of the job. They asked good questions, paid attention, and got straight to the point. They were upfront about the role and the job itself.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Business Analyst
The interview was a 1.5-hour competency-based interview. It was a really bad experience because the company didn't even bother to let me know the results, and it's been two weeks since the interview with no response. It also took them ages to get back to me after I submitted my CV. My overall impression is that they're looking for someone who can do everything – data analysis, business analysis, system analysis, and also act as a product owner for multiple development teams, working alongside a senior product manager. I'm really disappointed because a company that seems reputable at first turned out to be so disorganized with such poor hiring processes.
- Can you answer competency-based questions, many of which are from BABOK?
Business Analyst
I applied online and was contacted by HR via email with some questions. They then called to set up an interview with two hiring managers and a team member. They asked me questions, and I was later emailed that I didn't get the job. I asked for feedback, and one of the hiring managers called me a few days later to provide it, which was very helpful. I really appreciated their effort.
