Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BB&T.
Analyst
I went through a contracting agency and the whole process was super quick. They interviewed me within a week and I got an offer just another week later. Everything went really smoothly and fast. It seems like a great place to work.
- Can you tell me about your past job responsibilities and how they align with the requirements of this role?
Service Delivery Analyst
Got referred by a friend so talked to the recruiter really fast. We talked about my background and what I'm into. Then we talked about the salary for the role and it was workable even though it was a cut because I wanted to learn and grow. The recruiter was chill and asked good normal questions. Everything was good and my resume went to a hiring manager. The hiring manager, a VP, asked similar questions and told me more about the job. He hadn't finalized the business case for how the IT roles would change and seemed new to it. He also asked about my salary expectations, and his range was different from the recruiter's. I didn't get an offer and was told later they chose someone with more experience, even though I had over 25 years.
- Could you share your experience with ITIL?
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Analyst
They wanted to get straight to it. They asked me how I got ready for this interview. The interviewer didn't seem very engaged personally. Once he heard what he wanted to, he wrapped it up. I was offered a super day after I demonstrated I could analyze a company. There was also a personality test and pattern-based questions.
- What was your preparation process for this interview?
- Tell me what you know about our company.
