It was a quantitative analyst role. The interview process involved three probability questions. There was no introduction or resume question, and no behavior questions. It jumped right into probability problems. The next round would have been technical questions, but I didn't make it that far.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Given a father with two children, where it's known that a daughter and a boy were not born on the same day, and we observed his daughter, what is the probability that the other child is a boy?

They didn't ask for any self-introductions or general questions. The interview focused on 3 technical non-coding problems, mostly concerning probability and logic. There was also time for questions from me at the end.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • There was a standard card deck probability question.
  • They sent a spreadsheet and asked me to find the incorrect data without looking it up online.

Technical Coding

The first step was a phone call. We did introductions, talked about my resume, and they asked some probability questions, including Bayes rule, conditional probability, and a brain teaser. I also had to preprocess a dataset to find incorrect values, which was given in Excel.

Confirmed questions5 questions
  • Can you describe how you would identify incorrect values within a dataset?
  • Could you explain Bayes' rule?
  • What is conditional probability?
